Quechua
Study Quechua in Peru or Online
Quechua is the most widely spoken native language in the Andes and was the official language of the ancient Inca Empire.
In South America, around 10 million people speak Quechua, with the majority residing in Peru, where it holds official language status. While several dialects exist, the Quechua spoken in Cusco is regarded as the most significant. At our language institute in Cusco, “Qosqo” in Quechua, we teach this living language, still spoken by many in the region. While Spanish dominates in cities like Cusco, knowing Quechua becomes incredibly valuable if you plan to work, volunteer, or travel through rural Peru.
We offer Quechua courses with private instructors, available for both beginners and advanced learners. You can take classes by the hour or enroll in our 15-hour program (3 hours per day). Since each student has unique goals and needs, we encourage you to contact us to tailor a program that fits you perfectly. We also offer special options and pricing for groups.
Requirement: Intermediate Spanish level, as Quechua classes are taught in Spanish.
