The Pharmacology Project places you in a local pharmacy or lab, where you will shadow pharmacists, observe medication preparation and dispensing, and learn about Peru’s pharmaceutical system. Tasks may include prescription dispensing, inventory management, patient consultation, and community medication education. Spanish proficiency, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential.

The project offers a volunteer experience with a minimum stay of four weeks, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 1/2 PM. An intermediate level of Spanish is required, and volunteers contribute a weekly donation of $15 + Internationally and Nationally Valid Certification
Tasks include assisting with medication inventory, supporting pharmacists in prescription preparation, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and contributing to medication safety protocols.
Volunteers should have basic knowledge of pharmacology concepts, strong attention to detail, respect for medication safety protocols, understanding of Spanish medical terminology, and a willingness to follow precise instructions from pharmaceutical professionals.
