Marketing & Communications

Have you always been passionate about marketing, communications, or design? This program is tailor-made for you!

Depending on your qualifications, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with a travel agency or a local community-focused organization. You’ll join the marketing department, where your tasks may range from boosting brand awareness and attracting new clients to improving services, building websites, promoting offerings, or translating content between Spanish and English.

This program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in marketing and communications while working alongside experienced professionals. You’ll not only apply your existing skills to create meaningful impact but also pursue personal growth goals as you develop into a skilled marketing, communications, or design professional.

Project Perfile

Includes:

Minimum stay: 4 weeks

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 9am until 1pm and/or 2pm until 6pm

Spanish: Basic/Intermediate

Donation: $60 once + Internationally and Nationally Valid Certification

Manage social media

Work on website design

Projects Hours

You will work from Monday to Friday from 9am until 1pm and/or 2pm until 5pm.

Marketing Intern

The team consists of several collaborators and two coordinators. The internship aims to support the Marketing and Communications department (which includes sales), working closely with one or more team members and one of the coordinators. There are ample opportunities to contribute new ideas, so proactivity is highly valued. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to implement continuous improvements are essential.

As an assistant in the operational department, you will gain unique exposure to local projects and interact directly with families in the community. Since you will be communicating with local families and projects, proficiency in Spanish is required.

Additionally, this role involves direct contact with international clients. You will assist customers from around the world, including the United States, Europe, Asia, and other Latin American countries. Clients will approach you with questions, concerns, feedback, or simply to chat. You will serve as one of the public faces of the company and will be expected to deliver high-quality customer service.

Tasks

Responding to our daily client e-mail and messages on social media

Creating content for our social media and writing blog content

Doing client sales and processing client data

Identifying and targeting new possible agencies for collaboration

Participating in the activity night on Thursdays

Implementing new processes based on previous company research

Operation Intern

This program gives you the opportunity to work in the operations department, where you will collaborate in various activities including:

  • Supporting students in their projects
  • Leading orientation tours
  • Organizing weekly activities
  • Managing accommodation and internship coordination
  • Assisting with volunteer projects

As an operations assistant, you will gain unique exposure to local projects and families. Since you’ll be communicating directly with local families and projects, functional Spanish proficiency is required.

Additionally, this position involves direct contact with both international clients and local suppliers. You will work with customers from around the world (United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America), addressing their questions, resolving issues, and providing personalized support. You will serve as one of the organization’s key representatives, maintaining high-quality customer service standards.

Tasks

Organizing weekly activities for the volunteers: From salsa class to international food night, treasure hunt, and more

Bringing new students to their projects and provide introductions

Support in evaluation meetings / processs with clients

Support staff in administrative work

Provide high-quality customer service
