Project Profile
This medical placement is located in Cusco and requires a minimum stay of 3 weeks. Volunteers will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 or 2:00 PM. A basic to intermediate level of Spanish is required, and the program includes a donation of $60 (calculated as $15 per week) to support the clinic’s operations + Internationally and Nationally Valid Certification
Tasks
Volunteers will have the opportunity to shadow doctors and nurses, observing clinical activities and working methods. Responsibilities include supporting administrative tasks, assisting nurses with measuring patients (height, weight, etc.), preparing medical materials, helping with patient admission, and contributing to patient history reports.
Good to Know
A genuine interest in the medical field and basic medical knowledge are required for this placement. Volunteers should come prepared with their own scrubs as part of the work attire.
