Our volunteer program is carefully crafted to create a lasting impact in vulnerable communities across Cusco. Healthcare Support
As part of this project, you will be placed in a local clinic where you will have the chance to shadow doctors and nurses, observe their working methods, and gain firsthand insight into the Peruvian healthcare system.
Your main responsibilities will include supporting nursing staff in preparing medical materials and measuring patients’ vital signs. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as patient intake and updating medical records.
Please note that your level of involvement and responsibility will largely depend on your Spanish proficiency and proactive attitude. In a medical setting, building trust with the team is essential, so being able to communicate effectively in Spanish will help you integrate better and make a more meaningful contribution.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 8am until 1pm/2pm

Spanish: Basic/Intermediate

Donation: $60 ($15 per week) + Internationally and Nationally Valid Certification
Tasks
✓
Shadow doctors and nurses

Observe the clinic, its activities, and working methods

Support in administrative work

Support in the patient’s history reports
