The Pastry and Baking Arts Program trains 40 students in fundamental and advanced baking techniques, ingredient science, and dessert presentation, while offering workshops to 25 community participants. Led by master pastry chefs, baking scientists, and visiting experts, the program combines professional instruction with practical, hands-on experience.

The project offers a volunteer experience with a minimum stay of one day, during the morning shift from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Volunteers are required to be verbally fluent in Spanish. Participation includes a one-time donation of $80, which covers workshop involvement and a certificate valid nationally and internationally.

Tasks include assisting with ingredient preparation, supporting participants during practical baking sessions, helping maintain kitchen equipment organization, and promoting appreciation for pastry arts.

Volunteers should have an interest in baking and pastry arts, attention to detail in measurements and techniques, and a willingness to learn traditional and modern pastry methods.
